About Dr. Kwan-Feinberg

My name is Rita Kwan‑Feinberg, MD, MPH, FACS (aka “Dr. RKF”), a board‑certified surgeon dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence‑based care using advanced surgical techniques. My practice focuses on breast cancer surgery and complex breast conditions, with a special interest in robotic nipple sparing mastectomy when appropriate.

I believe that excellent care begins with listening. Every patient’s situation, values, and goals are unique, and I take the time to understand what matters most to you. I am committed to clear communication, thoughtful decision‑making, and ensuring that you feel informed and supported throughout your care.

As a surgeon, I am passionate about innovation that improves patient outcomes and recovery. I actively incorporate the latest advancements in breast surgery—including robotic techniques—while maintaining a careful, individualized approach grounded in safety and evidence‑based medicine.

In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in surgical leadership, women’s health advocacy, and quality improvement efforts aimed at advancing the field of breast surgery. I am also a wife and mom of 2 boys. My husband, a first responder, and I have dedicated our careers to serving the community and instilling in our children the importance of kindness and service to others. As a family, we enjoy traveling, eating, cooking, hockey (go Sharks!), and raising our urban chickens.

Above all, my goal is to provide expert surgical care delivered with compassion, respect, and partnership—so that every patient feels confident, heard, and cared for at every step of their journey.
